S&I Spectroscopy & Imaging GmbH is settled in Anröchte, Germany, 30 min from Dortmund.

The main businesses of S&I are the development and sale of high end Raman spectrometers and the distribution of scientific equipment in Russia and the former Soviet Union.
Our aim is to offer the best equipment on the market and to deliver customised system solutions for scientists.

In spectroscopy applications the employees of S&I have long time experience. This result in the well understanding of the spectroscopist´s needs and leads to developments which are highly accepted by our customers.
The sales staff is trained to discuss the special applications of each scientist to offer the best system configuration possible. Oftentimes accessories are designed to the customer´s requests.
Our application lab in Anröchte and cooperations with scientist nearby allow us to measure samples in many different setups to proof the capability of the S&I build spectrometers.


History

As a buyout from SI Scientific Instruments GmbH in 1995 we distributed the sophisticated Acton Research Corp. spectrometers and the high end CCD cameras from Princeton Intruments Inc. So, for many years our team is well known troughout Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
When Roper Scientific bought Princeton Instruments, Acton Research and Photometrics, the distribution of all instruments was centralised at Roper Scientific Germany GmbH, the former Photometrics Germany GmbH.

In 1995 S&I started the exclusively distribution of the Princeton Instruments CCDs and the Acton Research spectrometers in Russia and other former Soviet Union countries. During the last years our colleagues in Moscow set up complete lab systems including also laser, high speed cameras, streak cameras, x-ray detectors and may other components.

In 2003 S&I got a request from Russia for an additive as well as subtractive triple Raman spectrometer. To offer the most flexible system, we developed a new design, the
TR 555 A&S.
S&I manufactures these systems in Anröchte and distributes them within Europe and the former Soviet Union.
In USA/Canada, Latin America and Asia we cooperate with Princeton Instruments / Acton Research. They manufacture the S&I systems in license with the brand TriVista at Acton Research.

Since 1995 S&I GmbH is distributor for the spectrometers from Acton Research Corporation and the cameras of Princeton Instruments Inc. in Russia and the former Soviet Union.
Lately, since both companies are part of Roper Scientific, the two companies joined and renamed to PIActon. Roper Scientific also acquired Photometrics, a further manufactur of CCD camera systems.
Additionally to the Roper Scientific products we offer components of third parties.
